ESPEC was selected again, after being selected in fiscal year 2013.
METI's selection to the Global Top 100 List (established in fiscal 2013) aims to recognize and reward companies with high market share in a niche sector and excellent international competitiveness. In the second program held in fiscal 2020, METI selected 113 companies that have succeeded in niche sectors in a challenging business environment and changing international conditions. A total of 13 companies were selected as consecutive winners. The winners were evaluated based on evaluation criteria such as achieving both global market share and profitability, possessing unique and independent technologies, and playing a key role in the supply chain.
