ASKER DD5 TYPE A is for synthetic rubber (medium hardness), widely applied in domestic and international standards such as JIS K 6253-3, JIS K 7215, ISO 48-4 and ASTM D 2240 , and is the main method for measuring the hardness of various rubber products. Hardness data can be exported externally using the peak hold and time hold functions.

Features ASKER DD5 TYPE A

■ Indenter

The shape of the indenter is a truncated cone with a height of 2.50 mm.

■ Minimum reading value

The minimum reading is 0.1 points.

■Peak holding function

The peak hold function makes it easy to read the maximum value, and is particularly useful for accurately measuring the hardness of samples where stress relaxation occurs (the reading drops immediately after pressure is applied).

■ Timer holding function

The timer hold function allows you to hold the measured value for any time between 1 and 15 seconds.
Peak hold value and timer hold value can be obtained simultaneously with one measurement.

■ Interface box

Communication with external devices such as PCs is possible by connecting via USB or RS-232C. *Selectable
