The HI981412 pH Controller and Dosing Pump is designed to maintain the pH of nutrient solutions and irrigation water. The pH of nutrient solutions or irrigation water is important for plant propagation and growth. Plants generally prefer slightly acidic solutions due to the effects on nutrient solubility and bacteria living on the roots. The HI981412 was developed to be a cost effective solution for gardeners to maintain ideal pH at all times. Simply attach the probe and injection valve directly to the recirculation pump and deliver the chemical to be dosed.

The HI981412 is a system designed to maintain pH in hydroponic nutrient tanks or irrigation water. Typically chlorine, whether liquid or solid, is alkaline and will increase the pH of the water it is added to. As the pH increases above pH 7.4, a form of chlorine known as hypochlorite ion (OCl,) is created. This form of chlorine is 100 times less effective at killing bacteria than another form of chlorine known as hypochlorous acid (HOCl). For this reason, it is important to maintain the correct pH level to ensure that the more powerful form of hypochlorous acid is available for disinfection. The HI981412 was developed to be a cost effective solution for the consumer to maintain the ideal pH at all times. Simply insert the probe and injection valve in line with the circulation pump and deliver the chemical to be dosed.
The internal peristaltic pump uses a stepper motor without any gears or brushes providing long life and requiring less maintenance.
PROPORTIONAL AUTOMATIC PUMP CONTROL
Peristaltic metering pumps can have simple on/off control or more advanced proportional control prevent overdosing.
PUMP FLOW CONTROL
Pump flow is adjustable from 0.5 to 3.5L/h, allowing greater control in maintaining the desired set point.
An option to connect an acid level or flow sensor. This input can be used to disable the metering pump when there is no chemical left in the tank or there is no flow due to the pump being turned off.
MULTI-COLOR LCD SCREEN
Easily and quickly view and monitor control status for the pool.
The background screen will display green during normal operation and red during alarm status.
QUICK CONNECT INPUT
Quick Connect DIN connector with waterproof seal minimizes electromagnetic interference problems from electrical connections in wet environments cause .
GROLINE pH / TEMPERATURE PROBE
The HI981412 uses the HI10063 amplified probe which combines both pH and temperature sensors and connects to the controller with a single waterproof Quick Connect DIN connector.
