PARAMETERS FOR MEASURING CLEAN WATER QUALITY

The six most common water quality parameters can be monitored with this multiparameter chemical test kit. These include: alkalinity, chlorine, hardness, iron, pH, and sulfites. These parameters are important in determining the corrosive properties of water due to carbonates and chlorides. Sulfites are also important in preventing pitting and oxidation of metal components. High concentrations of sulfites at low pH can also promote corrosion in drinking water infrastructure. This kit is ideal not only for professionals, but also for students studying environmental science, due to its excellent performance and ease of use. The HI3817 is equipped with all accessories and reagents to perform multiple measurements for each parameter. pHep®, Hanna Instruments' popular electronic pH meter, is the ultimate in convenience. This compact and easy-to-use pH meter will provide more accurate and reliable pH readings than standard litmus paper. pHep® also has the added benefit of introducing students to the use of a pH meter.
