THICKNESSPEN is a reliable solution for thickness measurement, operating in two patented modes: magnetic and capacitive. The ThicknessPen provides easy, non-destructive and highly accurate thickness measurement for all types of non-ferrous products, regardless of size, shape or material. The device's compact size and portability allows it to be used virtually anywhere, in the lab, on the factory floor or even in wet environments in the field.
Patent-pending dual-mode operation The ThicknessPen differentiates itself from other measurement devices with its patent-pending dual-mode operation, using both capacitive and magnetic measurement technology. The ThicknessPen's dual-mode measurement capabilities provide unique advantages and versatility not found elsewhere in this market. The device includes the precision needed for the lab and the portability, durability and safety for use on the production floor.
Magnetic mode, uses a high-precision magnetic target ball, providing a level of accuracy that equals or exceeds traditional devices. This technology provides the measurement accuracy needed for thin materials and ultra-light containers, while also providing a rugged, easy-to-operate measurement tool. When used in combination with a docking station and footswitch, this device is ideal for laboratories or factory measuring stations.
Capacitive mode Provides touch and measure operation without the need for a target ball. It is ideal for on-site or field measurements where portability is desirable and the risk of product contamination by the target ball is a concern, especially in beverage and filling applications. . This mode provides a quick, “touch and go” measurement approach for basic production line monitoring, measuring large containers, sheet materials and large shaped parts where the use of Impractical use of target balls.
App-based, Bluetooth connection With the ThicknessPen app, a computer, laptop or tablet* becomes your work center to manage and operate the system. The operator can control the type and size of displayed data. With this application, system software never goes out of date and upgrades are handled with ease.
When the pen is used remotely without a laptop or tablet, data is stored on the device and can be easily transferred from the pen to the tablet or computer when returning to the base station.
