CHLORINE IN SWIMMING POOLS
Disinfection is a process that kills disease-causing organisms (or pathogens). Chlorine (Cl2) is one of the most widely used disinfectants. It has many applications including drinking water, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, food disinfection, and swimming pools. Chlorine comes in many forms, it can be liquid, solid or gas, although gas is restricted to specific customers due to its toxicity if accidentally released in a confined space. The technology for producing chlorine on site is usually by electrolysis. In this process, sodium chloride is used as a source to become chlorine. Electrolytic generators are used to produce very high levels of chlorine for disinfection of equipment, but for swimming pools chlorine is usually maintained at low levels.
EASY TO USE
Easy measurement with just one button
COMPACT SIZE
Measure residual chlorine with just 10mL sample and 1 reagent pack included
LOW COST – HIGH ACCURACY
Cost savings but higher accuracy than test kits
READY, EASY TO USE QUANTITATIVE REAGENTS
– Simply tear open a packet of HI7014-0 reagent and add it to 10mL of the sample to be tested.
– The machine will then read the residual chlorine result directly in the water without any further calculations.
SUPPLIED COMPLETE SET
The HI7014 comes complete with all accessories at no additional cost.
– HI7014-0 reagent for 6 tests (6 packets)
– 2 sample cuvettes with lids
– Convenient, sturdy plastic container
