The HI766C is a K-type penetration temperature probe with a handle designed for use with a handheld thermometer. A 1 m (3.3') cable runs from the handle to connect the meter to the probe. The sharp, tapered tip allows the user to obtain highly accurate temperature readings of semi-solid and high temperature samples.

The HI766C K-Type Penetration Thermometer Probe with Handle is designed to measure the temperature of semi-solids and high temperature samples. The response time of a measurement is affected by the position of the sensor face relative to the surface being measured. The HI766C is designed with a pointed tip that provides a 15 second response time per temperature reading. Constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the HI766C probe can measure surfaces up to 900°C (1650°F).
