Force and mechanical measuring equipment
– Platinum electrode tip is covered by glass on the outside
– 3m long plastic cable
– Designed for continuous measurement in tank
– Universal BNC port compatible with any ORP meter with BNC port
– Not anti-stick and not resistant to strong chemicals
Note: Electrode life is affected by temperature and corrosiveness of the water sample.
PLATINUM SENSOR
ORP sensors are made of platinum. An ORP sensor must be chemically inert so that it does not oxidize itself. It must also have suitable surface characteristics to promote rapid electron exchange. Two noble metals have proven to work well for this purpose: pure platinum and pure gold are both used in the design of ORP sensors. Platinum sensors are often preferred because they are simpler and safer to manufacture. Platinum can be welded to glass and has the same temperature coefficient. The platinum sensor signals pass through the electrode body, along with the reference signal that is conducted for measurement.
BNC CONNECTOR.
This type of connection is universal and can be used on any ORP meter that has a female BNC input.
