The HI76407 is a standard Clark-type polarographic dissolved oxygen probe for use with Hanna's portable and benchtop dissolved oxygen meters. The probe is constructed of durable ABS plastic and contains a built-in temperature sensor allowing for temperature compensated measurements. The probe is compatible with Hanna's HI76407A/P PTFE membrane. The membrane separates the probe's platinum cathode and silver anode from the water sample being measured. Oxygen diffuses through the membrane and interacts with the polarographic systems to produce a current that measures oxygen concentration. Each membrane cap is filled with HI7041 electrolyte solution and screwed onto the probe. The tapered design of the probe is ideal for BOD measurements.
