The HI1332B is a double junction pH electrode with a PEI body. This electrode has a single ceramic junction on the outside of the reference cell and the pH sensor portion is made of general purpose glass and protected by a durable PEI body.

DOUBLE JOINT

The HI1332B has a double junction design with an internal compartment containing the reference wire. Silver ions are present in the electrolyte of the inner chamber, containing the Ag/AgCl reference wire; The electrolyte outside this chamber does not contain silver. The double junction design means virtually no silver from the electrode enters the sample. This design allows measurement in applications where silver ions in the sample are not desired or silver precipitates form on the junction.

Spherical bulbs for general purpose use. Other tip shapes include cone for penetration and flat tip for surface measurements.

NORMAL TEMPERATURE GLASS FORMULA

Measuring pH at too high a temperature will be detrimental to the sensitive glass bulb and will shorten its life. A pH electrode with general purpose (GP) glass will have a resistance of 100 megaohms at 25°C while the resistance of LT glass is about 50 megaohms at 25°C. As the temperature of the glass decreases in the sample, the resistance of the LT glass will approach the resistance of the GP glass. If GP glass is used, the resistance will increase above the optimal scale, leading to increased impedance and ultimately affecting the measurement. The HI1332B is suitable for use with samples measuring from 0 to 70°C.

PLASTIC ELECTRODE BODY

Durable. The guard around the spherical glass tip reduces the possibility of electrode breakage due to impact or drop. PEI plastic is a high quality plastic, resistant to many harsh chemicals.

POPULAR BNC CONNECTOR
