Force and mechanical measuring equipment
The HI1005 is a continuous flow pH electrode with DIN connector and 0.5 m cable designed specifically for industrial applications. The durable PVDF body electrode with protective PEI tubing surrounds the glass bulb. With a built-in temperature sensor, matching pin and amplifier, the HI1005 allows for remote measurements without the need for a transmitter. This sensor provides fast and accurate pH measurements for industrial applications.
Matching pin and amplifier
The HI1005 utilizes a spherical bulb, PVDF body, and PTFE junction with polymer electrolyte.
Spherical glass electrode tip
The spherical electrode tip design allows for a large sample contact area for faster electrode response and greater stability. The bulb is protected by a PEI tube.
PVDF body
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a plastic that has resistance to many chemicals and solvents, abrasion resistance, mechanical strength, and resistance to ultraviolet and nuclear radiation. PVDF is also resistant to mold and mildew.
PTFE Joint
This joint is commonly used for electrodes with polymer electrolytes. Porous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a non-absorbent material that helps minimize clogging. Due to its chemical advantages, PTFE is widely used in industrial applications.
Reference double joint
A double electrode junction has an internal cavity that surrounds the reference wires. Silver ions are contained in the polymer electrolyte of the internal cavity, which houses the Ag/AgCl reference wire; the electrolyte outside this cavity is silver-free. The double junction design virtually eliminates silver from the electrode to the sample, allowing measurements in applications where silver ions are present in the sample or silver precipitates form on the junction.
Matching Pin
The HI1005 incorporates a matching pin into the electrode. The matching pin is referred to as the “ground wire” and is used to prevent ground loop effects that can cause erratic readings and damage to the system.
Internal temperature sensor
The HI1005 probe's built-in temperature sensor provides fast and stable temperature measurement for accurate temperature compensated pH readings.
Amplification
The built-in amplifier in the HI1005 probe allows measurements to be taken remotely without the need for a transmitter.
