WHY DO YOU NEED TO PRESERVE PH AND ORP ELECTRONS?

The HI70300 is made from reagent grade chemicals that can be used to ensure optimum performance of the pH and ORP electrode. It is imperative that the pH electrode be stored in solution to keep the pH electrode glass membrane hydrated. It is best to use a storage solution; * Do not store the pH or ORP electrode in distilled or deionized water. This will reduce the life of the sensor.
