The HI70300 is made from reagent grade chemicals that can be used to ensure optimum performance of the pH and ORP electrode. It is imperative that the pH electrode be stored in solution to keep the pH electrode glass membrane hydrated. It is best to use a storage solution; * Do not store pH or ORP electrodes in distilled or deionized water. This will reduce the life of the sensor. Hanna Instruments storage solutions are specially formulated to minimize microbial growth and prevent any diffusion/osmotic effects from storing the probe in a solution containing a concentrated internal reference electrolyte. Storing pH and/or ORP electrodes in storage solutions will also keep the junction clear. Keeping the sensor and junction hydrated will help ensure rapid and reliable measurements. In the event that the pH electrode is cleaned with one of the HANNA electrode cleaning solutions, we recommend soaking the electrode in HI80300L storage solution for at least 1 hour prior to measurement.

Using	– Pour a little electrode preservation solution into the lid or cup after washing the electrode, close the lid. – For pH or ORP electrode is slow or dry due to long-term disuse, soak in storage solution for at least 1 hour or overnight to reactivate. Then recalibrate the machine.
Methods of preservation	– Each package can be used once. – Do not dilute or add any chemicals to the solution. – Always use a new solution packet for each storage.
