HI4016-46 conditioning solution is used to condition or etch the FC300B sodium ion selective electrode (ISE). The measurement of sodium in a solution is determined by ion exchange between the selectively permeable glass membrane and the sample solution. By conditioning the membrane, a thin layer of glass is removed, exposing a new surface for better sodium ion exchange. After conditioning, the electrode should be immersed in the storage solution prior to calibration and measurement. The HI4016-46 ensures optimum measurement performance for the FC300B sodium ISE.
Note: Use caution when handling HI4016-46 conditioning solution. Personal protective equipment must be used when handling the solution.
