AMCO AEPA-1 STANDARD
Manufactured to AMCO AEPA-1 standards, it is very stable and reliable during calibration. AMCO AEPA-1 turbidity standard is a stable suspension of cross-linked styrene divinylbenzene copolymer microparticles in ultrapure water. These particles are chemically inert and maintain their chemical equilibrium in the aqueous medium regardless of concentration. The particle size, uniform shape, and refractive index make these spheres ideal for characterizing the absorption and scattering of light with respect to 90° behavior in the UV-VIS range. In addition, the spherical shape and size of the particles help prevent agglomeration or precipitation of the standard. For these reasons, the AMCO AEPA-1 standard is very stable.
This standard is prepared and bottled in a clean room facility. It is tested and validated for accuracy and stability, and is certified to be free of any toxic chemicals or compounds. All prepared standards are compared with formazin turbidity standard solutions. The values obtained and the date of analysis are reported on the supplied certificate of analysis.
NIST STANDARD
The HI93703-10 is a high quality turbidity calibration standard that allows users to validate and calibrate the HI93703 turbidity meter which has a range of 0 to 1000 FTU. The HI93703-10 includes a standard solution with an expected reading of 10 FTU. The calibration standards are produced in HANNA’s state-of-the-art facility using NIST traceable reference materials in a temperature-controlled environment.

Using |
To calibrate the optical turbidimeter at 10FTU point follow these steps: 1. Open the cap and pour the standard solution into a clean, dry cuvette. 2. Use the HI731318 cuvette cleaning cloth to wipe the glass part. The cuvette must be clean and dry, with no fingerprints or scratches, or stains. 3. See Calibration section in the respective meter's manual. Should be done at temperatures between 18 and 25 degreesoC |
Methods of preservation |
– Close the bottle cap and store at a temperature of 5 to 30oC, avoid direct sunlight, do not freeze. – DO NOT dilute or add any chemicals to the solution. – DO NOT pour used solution back into the bottle. – ARE NOT Use expired products. |
