HI8082 is a pH and ORP electrode fill solution containing 3.5M KCl, used with double junction electrodes. The electrolyte level in the electrode should be checked prior to measurement. If the level is low, the appropriate electrolyte solution can be added to ensure optimum performance. This simple maintenance will help ensure proper probe pressure to promote the flow of the reference electrolyte into the sample being measured.

HI8082 is a 3.5M Potassium Chloride solution that is an electrolyte solution for double junction electrodes. Double junction electrodes have two compartments for the electrolyte. An inner compartment contains the Ag/AgCl reference wires that are filled with a KCl + AgCl solution and an outer compartment contains a KCl solution. Using KCl in the outer compartment provides a silver free solution. This is important because silver can precipitate very easily in the presence of heavy metals and a biological buffer Tris. This precipitate can clog the outer reference junction leading to instability and longer response times. Hanna electrolyte solutions are manufactured using high quality chemicals and are manufactured to the highest standards of precision.

Using	1. MElectrolytic activity in the electrode should be checked before measurement. If this level is low, top up with the appropriate electrolyte solution to ensure optimum performance. 2. Rotate to remove the filling hole cap on the electrode tip. 3. Use a plastic pipette to draw up the electrolyte solution from the bottle. 4. Fill the electrode body with electrolyte solution. Methods of preservation	– After use, cover and store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight – Do not dilute or add any chemicals to the solution. – Always use fresh solution. – ABSOLUTELY do not pour used solution back into the bottle.
