HI7082 is a pH and ORP electrode filling solution containing KCl3.5M, intended for use with double junction electrodes. The electrolyte level in the electrode should be checked before measuring. If this level is low, top up with the appropriate electrolyte solution to ensure optimal performance. This simple maintenance will help ensure adequate probe pressure to drive reference electrolyte flow into the sample being measured.
HI7082 is a 3.5M Potassium Chloride electrolyte solution for double junction electrodes. The double junction electrode has two compartments for electrolysis. An inner compartment with Ag/AgCl reference wires was filled with KCl + AgCl solution and an outer compartment with KCl solution. Use KCl in the outer compartment to provide free silver solution. This is important because silver can precipitate very easily in the presence of heavy metals and a Tris biological buffer. This precipitate can clog the external reference connections leading to instability and longer response times. Hanna electrolyte solutions are manufactured using high quality chemicals manufactured to the highest standards of precision.
