Force and mechanical measuring equipment
– General electrode cleaning solution for many common applications.
– FDA approved bottle.
– Electrode rinsing is a quick and effective routine that should be performed regularly as a preventative measure against using dirty electrodes and to ensure that the junction does not become clogged.
– Simply immerse the electrode in the cleaning solution for 15 to 20 minutes and stir. Helps to quickly remove impurities and residues remaining on the electrode surface.
– More thorough cleaning for longer electrode life.
– Can be used for all types of electrodes
WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO CLEAN pH AND ORP ELECTRODES REGULARLY?
The most common cause of measurement inaccuracies is unclean or improperly cleaned electrodes. This is important to note, as during calibration the meter will assume that the electrodes are clean and the calibration curve generated during calibration will remain a valid reference comparison until the next calibration. pH meters on the market today will allow for a voltage offset of approximately ± 60 mV. Deviation from 0 mV is unusual but ideally should not be greater than ± 30 mV. The calibration process compensates for the change in voltage offset. If the mV offset continues to drift and the meter is calibrated with a dirty electrode, inaccurate results will result.
When measuring frequently, molecules can contaminate the electrode tip. Using the wrong solution or an expired solution can affect the results.
The instrument can calibrate even if the electrode tip is dirty due to improper cleaning before calibration. If the solution is contaminated, the calibration will be invalid and the results will be inaccurate.
Properly cleaning the electrode with fresh solution will ensure the electrode tip gives accurate results and more accurate calibration.
Cleaning the electrodes should be a routine practice as a preventative measure against situations that may arise when calibrating with dirty electrodes and ensuring that the junctions do not become clogged. Simply soaking the electrodes in a specialized cleaning solution for about 15-20 minutes will dissolve any minerals or other coatings.

|
Specifications |
– 500mL FDA standard plastic bottle, black opaque color. – Each bottle is tightly packed and sealed to ensure quality. – Colorless solution: The solution does not contain any dyes that could yellow or stain the electrode junction or reference cell. |
Using |
- Pour Pour a small amount of electrode cleaning solution into a cup or spray bottle to rinse after measurement. – Soak the electrode in the cleaning solution for about 15-20 minutes, then stir gently to dissolve the dirt into the solution. – ABSOLUTELY do not scrub or scratch the pH bulb (sensor). – The electrode SHOULD be washed immediately after each measurement. – For pH or ORP electrode is too dirty or has not been used for a long time, after washing the electrode, Soak in preservative solution for at least 1 hour or overnight to reactivate. Then recalibrate. |
Methods of preservation |
– After use, cover and store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight – Do not dilute or add any chemicals to the solution. – Always use fresh solution. – ABSOLUTELY do not pour used solution back into the bottle. |
