The HI931101 is a durable, waterproof, portable sodium meter. The HI931101 includes many features such as automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation, auto ranging, and on-screen instructions. There are four scales for sodium and simply press the MODE button to measure the activity of sodium ions.

The HI931101 is a rugged, portable sodium meter designed to provide laboratory accuracy and precision under harsh conditions. The HI931101 is ideal for a variety of applications in the laboratory, food and beverage manufacturing, and water quality analysis. The HI931101 offers a variety of features including 5 different measurement ranges, automatic calibration to 1 or 2 points, temperature compensation, and on-screen instructions.

The HI931101 uses a BNC connector for connecting a sodium ISE electrode and a separate RCA connector for a temperature probe. The temperature probe allows for high measurement accuracy of ±0.2^oC to accurately measure temperature.

Outstanding Features

One or two point calibration – Automatic calibration can be performed at 1 or 2 points with a choice of 3 buffers (0.23 g/L, 2.3 g/L and 23.0 g/L). For high accuracy, the calibration solution should be selected at the temperature closest to the sample temperature.

On-screen instructions – Clear and easy-to-use on-screen instructions guide you through all the steps of performing calibration and measurement.

Sodium ion selective electrode – The FC300B sodium ion selective electrode consists of a glass body and a sodium sensitive membrane. The sodium sensitive membrane should be conditioned before calibration. Conditioning the electrode is a two-step process in which the glass is acid etched and then hydrated. Etching involves removing a thin layer of the sensitive glass from the sodium membrane, exposing a new sodium-containing surface. Hydration after etching will optimize the exchange of sodium ions between the membrane and the solution.

Fixed Temperature Compensation – HI931101 compensates for fixed temperature of sodium measurements at 25°C.
