IMPORTANCE

Turbidity, free and total chlorine, cyanuric acid, pH, iodine, bromine, and low-range iron are all important parameters that need to be tested to ensure water quality in drinking water, wastewater, and water used for swimming pools and spas.

Turbidity is one of the most important parameters used to determine the quality of drinking water. Turbidity in drinking water can be considered as a pathogenic factor. In natural waters, turbidity is measured to assess the general quality of water and its suitability in applications involving aquatic organisms.

Chlorine is the most commonly used water disinfectant in homes, hotels, and businesses. In swimming pools, spas, and similar applications, cyanuric acid helps stabilize and prevent chlorine from degrading, especially in sunlight. Regularly testing both cyanuric acid and pH levels helps minimize chlorine consumption.

Bromine and iodine are considered alternatives to chlorine for their disinfectant properties. One of the most common uses of iodine is in the poultry industry, while bromine is used in the sanitization of cooling towers, swimming pools, and spas.

Iron is naturally present in low concentrations in water, but it reaches high concentrations in wastewater. Iron concentrations in water need to be monitored because it becomes harmful above certain levels. In water, for example, iron can stain fabrics, damage kitchenware, promote the growth of certain bacteria, and change the taste of water. Iron is also an indicator of ongoing corrosion in cooling and heating water systems. Furthermore, iron is often monitored in wastewater to prevent contamination.

ALL IN 1 MULTI-FUNCTIONAL METER

– To measure turbidity, no reagents required.

– For Bromine, Chlorine, Cyanuric Acid, Iodine, Iron and pH, just buy the reagents for the indicators to be measured.

LOCK SYSTEM ON CUVET CAP AND MACHINE

There is a marking on the measuring chamber of the machine and on the cuvette cover. Make sure the cuvettes are inserted into the measurement chamber in the same position each time you measure.

DATA LOG

Records up to 25 measurement values. Records can be easily recalled with the push of a button and a warning will appear if the memory is full. Logging can be enabled or disabled.

ERROR WARNING

  • On-screen messages warn of problems such as no cap, high zero, or too low standard to help avoid measurement errors due to errors.
