Force and mechanical measuring equipment
The HI9829 is a waterproof, portable multiparameter data logger that measures up to 14 different water quality parameters. The microprocessor-based multi-sensor probe measures critical parameters including pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, ammonium, chloride, nitrate, and temperature. The probe transmits digital readings with data logging when disconnected from the meter. Optional GPS allows location tracking of measurements. The entire system is simple to set up and easy to use. The HI9829 comes supplied with all necessary accessories and a rugged, durable carrying case.

The HI7609829 (basic) and HI7629829 (auto-logging) are multiparameter probes for use with the HI9829 portable meter. There is an option to choose which probe will be supplied with the HI9829. By default, the HI9829 and its corresponding probe will be supplied with pH/ORP, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen sensors. Either probe can be upgraded to measure turbidity using a turbidity/conductivity sensor (purchased separately).
HI7629829 Automatic Data Logging Probe
*All channels logging at 10 minute intervals with no averaging
Waterproof protection – The meter is housed in a waterproof housing rated IP67 and can withstand immersion in water at a depth of 1 m for up to 30 minutes. The probe is rated IP68 for continuous immersion in water.
Backlit dot matrix LCD display – The HI9829 features a backlit graphic LCD with on-screen help and the ability to display 12 parameters simultaneously. The graphic display allows for the use of virtual keys to provide an intuitive user interface.
Intuitive keyboard – The snug rubber keypad features dedicated keys for power, backlight, up/down arrows, help, and alphanumeric characters. The meter also features two virtual soft keys that navigate the user through the configuration of each parameter, meter setup, and data logging. Intuitive interface for all levels of user experience.
Dedicated “HELP'' help button – Context-sensitive help is always available via the dedicated “HELP” button. Clear on-screen instructions and tutorials are available to guide the user through setup and calibration quickly and easily. Help information displayed is relevant to the setting/option being viewed.
Automatic sensor recognition – The probe and meter automatically recognize connected sensors. Any unused ports on the probe will not display parameters or cannot be configured.
Automatic temperature compensation – Built-in temperature sensor allows automatic temperature compensation for pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen measurements.
Automatic atmospheric pressure compensation – The meter has a built-in barometer with user selectable units to compensate for dissolved oxygen pressure.
Quick calibration – Quick Calibration provides quick, one-point calibration for pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. Standard calibration options available include pH up to three points, Conductivity at one point, and dissolved oxygen up to two points.
GLP Data – The HI9829 includes a GLP feature that allows users to view calibration data and calibration expiration information with the touch of a key. Calibration data includes date, time, buffers/standards used for calibration, and slope characteristics.
Record data – The HI9829 allows users to store up to 44,000 continuous or log-on-demand samples with logging intervals from one second to three hours.
Graphing capabilities – Trend graphs with sample date and time stamps can be viewed on screen or transferred to a computer.
PC connection – Logged data can be transferred to a Windows compatible PC using the included HI7698291 USB adapter and HI929829 software.
Long battery life – The meter display has a battery indicator symbol to show the remaining charge. The meter is powered by four 1.5V “C” NiMH rechargeable batteries providing up to 140 hours of battery life*
Sturdy case for carrying the machine- The kit is supplied in a sturdy carrying case designed to provide years of use. The inner compartment of the case is heat-sealed to safely hold and protect all components.

GPS Features
The meter has a built-in 12-channel GPS receiver and antenna that calculates its position to track location along with measurement data.
Quick calibration
Quick calibration feature allows single point calibration for pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen, all in just a few simple steps.
Graphing capabilities
Trend charts with sample dates and times can be viewed on screen or transferred to PC
Fast Tracker™ – Card Identification System
HANNA's Fact Tracker™ —Tag Identification System simplifies test logging. iButtons with a unique ID can be installed at different sampling locations. When the appropriate connector on the gauge contacts the location button, measurements are recorded and labeled with the user-entered alphanumeric location ID. Location, date, time, and measurements logged on the gauge can be transferred to a PC. The Fast Tracker™ system complements GPS for optimal tracking.
iButton card easy to install
Install optional TAGs near your sampling points for quick and easy iButton access. Each TAG contains a computer chip with a unique identification code encased in stainless steel. You can install a virtually unlimited number of TAGs. Additional TAGs can be ordered for all your traceability requirements.
