pH OF THE SKIN SURFACE
The skin's pH is slightly acidic at approximately pH 5, which helps protect against harmful bacteria and fungi while promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria. Disruption of skin pH can lead to or amplify skin disorders. Many skin care products and soaps are created to be pH balanced so that the product does not change the skin's pH beyond the desired range.
Many factors affect skin pH, including age, genetics, sweat and moisture. Skin has a naturally acidic pH, between 4 and 6. However, the constant exposure to alkaline products such as cosmetics, soaps, and detergents can easily raise the natural pH. skin's nature. CLEANING THE ELECTROD AFTER EACH MEASUREMENT is very important, if there is dirt on the electrode, it will quickly damage the electrode. Wash by stirring to dissolve dirt into specialized electrode cleaning solution. Do not scrub or scratch the inside glass pH sensor bulb. Then use a paper towel to absorb excess water (do not clean). The cleaning solution will help dissolve dirt more quickly than regular water but still ensures it does not corrode the electrode.
