The HI5222 is an advanced benchtop pH/mV/ISE meter with a large color LCD, capacitive touch keys, and USB port for computer connectivity.
The HI5222 features a universal BNC connector for easy use with the wide range of pH, ISE and ORP electrodes that Hanna Instruments offers. The meter is supplied with the HI1131B glass body, double junction pH electrode that has a wide temperature range from 0 to 100°C. All readings are automatically compensated for temperature variations with the separate HI 7662-T temperature probe that is supplied.
For pH, the HI5222 can be calibrated up to five points with 8 pre-programmed buffers or 5 custom buffers.
With ISE, HI5222 Can be calibrated up to five points with 7 default standards or 5 custom standards. Calibration data including date, time, buffer used, offset and slope can be accessed at any time along with the current measurement by selecting the GLP option.
Three recording modes are available: automatic, manual and AutoHold. Up to 100,000 data points can be recorded in 100 batches of 50,000 records and exported to a computer for viewing and saving the data.
SALIENT FEATURES
User Interface – The HI5222 allows measurements to be displayed in different modes: basic measurement with or without GLP information, real-time, and logging. Calibration stability criteria can be adjusted from fast, moderate, and accurate. Alarm limits can be set inside or outside allowable limits.
Color LCD graphic display – HI5222 features a color graphic LCD with on-screen help, graphics, and custom color configurations. The display allows for real-time and virtual keys to provide intuitive user assistance.
Capacitive touch keyboard – The HI5222 features a capacitive touch keypad for accurate navigation of menus and screens. There are four dedicated keys that are used frequently including calibration and switching measurement modes and four virtual keys that change with use. The capacitive touch technology ensures that the buttons never get stuck.
Select Calibration – Automatic, semi-automatic, direct and manual buffer entry options are available for up to five-point calibration, with eight standard buffers and up to five custom buffers.
GLP Data – The HI5222 includes a GLP feature that allows users to view calibration data and calibration expiration information with the touch of a key. Calibration data includes date, time, buffers/standards used for calibration, and slope. Offset is also displayed for pH electrodes.
Select ISE concentration unit – HI5222 allows calibration and reading of results in a choice of concentration units including ppt, g/L, mg/mL, ppm, mg/L, μg/mL, ppb, μg/L, mg/mL, M, mol/L, mmol/L, %w/v and user units.
CAL Check™ – warns the user of errors during pH electrode calibration. Messages include “electrode dirty/damaged,” “buffer contaminated,” electrode status.
Record data – Three logging modes are available on the HI5222: automatic, manual, and AutoHold. Automatic and manual logging of up to 100 lots with a maximum of 50,000 records/lot, for a total of up to 100,000 data points. Automatic logging features the ability to save data based on sampling time and interval.
Exchange data – Data can be transferred to a computer with USB cable and HI92000 software (both sold separately).
Contextual help – via the dedicated “HELP” key. Clear on-screen instructions and instructions quickly and easily guide the user through setup and calibration. The help information displayed is relative to the option being viewed.
