Force and mechanical measuring equipment
The CR-400 Chroma Meter is a handheld, portable measurement instrument designed to evaluate the color of objects, particularly with smoother surface conditions or minimal color variation. Through standard or customized evaluation formulas, this high accuracy, reliable colorimeter helps users control the color quality, consistency, and appearance of their samples in a more efficient, streamlined process internally and throughout the supply chain. It accurately identifies color characteristics in objects, determines color differences between objects, and provides pass/fail assessments to immediately determine if the sample meets the defined standard. This makes the CR-400 ideal for color inspections of food, building material, plastic, and dermatological applications within quality control, quality assurance, and R&D fields.

The standard for basic color QC in a range of industries.
Konica Minolta Chroma Meters have a long heritage for offering organizations cost effective, traceable color quality control measurements.
The CR-400 has an 8 mm measuring area, suitable for measuring reflected color and color difference in a wide range of industrial fields. It is widely used for color QC in various applications including ingredients, foods, raw materials and finished products.
If samples are structured or uneven in surface, such as granulates, fabrics, wood, stones, bricks, then the CR-410 is the right choice. The unique large aperture (50 mm) is ideal for such samples where the operator would otherwise need to manually average several measurements to obtain representative and repeatable data.
A tristimulus chroma meter measures colors using filters that match the cone cells in the human eye. As these instruments use filters that closely match the spectral sensitivity of those cells, they correlate with a typical human observer, providing traceable measurement data for the sample under standard illuminant D65 and C.
• Vertical alignment: ergonomically designed grip and vertical alignment provides stable contact to samples, allowing measurement of samples with small or difficult contours.
• 8mm or 50mm measurement aperture: whether your sample is homogeneous or inhomogeneous, selecting the instrument with the correct measurement aperture will provide consistent and repeatable results.
• External data processor and thermal printer: configure the device on the move and conveniently / quickly produce color data labels for samples or batches.
• The DP-400 data processor offers improved versatility, essential when not connected to a PC with color data software.
• Battery or AC power: power the instrument either via AC cable or AAA batteries in order to minimize downtime.
• Simple color, color difference and tolerance data: Simple black and white backlit LCD displays relevant measurement data or simplified Pass/Warn/Fail based on operator defined tolerances.
• Precision accessories: maximize repeatability and ease of sample presentation with purpose built accessories for powders, beans and opaque liquids.
