Mechanical Depth Micrometer is a depth measuring instrument based on the operating principle of a mechanical micrometer. Eye position when reading: Make sure to look perpendicular from the intersection of the reference line on the main ruler and the graduation line on the auxiliary ruler to read the most accurate measurement value.
Using ratchet: To ensure consistent measuring force, rotate the ratchet wheel 3 to 5 turns after the measuring surface lightly touches the sample. Avoid using excessive force, as this may cause errors in the measurement results.
Maintenance and cleaning: Keep the measuring surface and base of the micrometer clean, wipe with a soft lint-free cloth after each use. Use Mitutoyo 207000 lubricant or RP7 anti-rust spray to protect the device from rust.
