Mitutoyo 145-186 Internal Mechanical Micrometer
Inside Micrometers are length measuring instruments based on the principle of using screw threads to measure linear distances, invented by Gascoigne in 1638. Mitutoyo inside micrometers are manufactured using modern Japanese technology with many options for measuring range, accuracy, measuring speed, mm-inch measuring units, and data entry methods after measurement, suitable for many different customer requirements.
Advantages of Mitutoyo 145-186 Internal Mechanical Micrometer
Range and Accuracy: With a measuring range of 25 – 50 mm, a division of 0.01 mm, and an accuracy of ±6 µm, this micrometer is ideal for measuring the inside diameter of pipes, gaps, and grooves in engineering industries such as construction, mechanical engineering, molds, automobiles, and furniture with high accuracy.
Material and Design: Manufactured using modern Japanese technology, the panme frame is electrostatically painted at temperatures above 65°C (150°F), making the paint surface shiny and increasing the durability of the paint layer. The two measuring heads are coated with anti-abrasion carbide, increasing durability and usage time.

How to Measure: When using a micrometer, always use a ratchet stop to ensure consistent measuring force. Place the measuring surface and the test piece in light contact, then rotate the ratchet stop approximately 3 to 5 times to achieve the appropriate measuring force.
Care and Cleaning: To ensure the micrometer is always in the best condition, it should be stored in a dry place, away from moisture. After use, clean the measuring surface with clean, dust-free paper or a suitable cleaning solution and store it in a proper box.
