Mitutoyo 146-222 Mechanical Micrometer
Inside Micrometers are length measuring instruments using the screw thread principle, invented by Gascoigne in 1638. Mitutoyo 146-222 is manufactured using modern Japanese technology, with many options for measuring range, accuracy, measuring speed, and measuring units of mm or inch.
Advantages of Mitutoyo 146-222 Mechanical Micrometer
Measuring Range and Accuracy: The micrometer has an inside measuring range of 1.6 – 26.5 mm and an outside measuring range of 0 – 25 mm, with a division of 0.01 mm and an accuracy of ±10 µm. Suitable for measuring the inside diameter of pipes, gaps, and grooves in many engineering industries such as construction, mechanical engineering, molds, automobiles, and furniture.
Material and Design: The micrometer frame is electrostatically painted at temperatures above 65°C (150°F), making the painted surface brighter and more durable. The two measuring heads are coated with wear-resistant carbide, improving the durability and service life of the device.

How to Measure: To ensure consistent measuring force, use a ratchet stopper. Place the measuring surface and the specimen in slight contact, then rotate the ratchet stopper about 3 to 5 times to achieve the appropriate measuring force.
Care and Cleaning: Store the micrometer in a dry place, away from moisture. Clean the measuring surface with clean, dust-free paper or a suitable cleaning solution and store in a box after use for best preservation.
