What is an Electronic Depth Gauge?

The Absolute Digimatic Depth Gage is a precision measuring instrument for measuring the depth of parts or materials in engineering industries such as construction, mechanical engineering, molds, automobiles, and furniture. Manufactured by Mitutoyo with advanced Japanese technology, this device provides high accuracy and reliability, with a variety of options in measuring range, accuracy, and style, suitable for many different requirements.

  • Compact Design: The measuring ruler has a measuring range of 0-150 mm, a display of 0.01 mm and an accuracy of ±0.02 mm, using the metric system. Made of measuring tool steel with low thermal expansion coefficient and polished sliding surface, allowing smooth movement and accurate measurement results.

Notes When Using:

  • Choose the Right Ruler: Make sure the measuring tape has a measuring range and accuracy suitable for the job requirements. The measuring range of the tape should be larger than the depth of the part to be measured and the accuracy of the tape should be smaller than the requirements of the part to be inspected.

  • Proper Storage: Store the gauge in a dry place and protect it from high humidity. Regularly check and calibrate the device to maintain accuracy.

  • Avoid Collision: Do not store the measuring tape with other tools to avoid damage. Do not place other tools on top of the measuring tape or let the tape become warped.

  • Use with Care: Do not use the measuring tape to measure rotating or moving objects. Avoid dropping the tape on hard surfaces and keep the tape free of dust or debris.

  • Proper Hygiene: Clean the ruler with a clean cloth and apply specialized oil or RP7 solution to protect and maintain measuring performance.

  • Battery Saver: Turn off the power when not in use to save battery life and protect the device from water or oil.
