The ONO SOKKI VC-2200/3200 Vibration Meter is the ultimate device for continuous maintenance and monitoring of production facilities with high accuracy and low cost. Using an advanced digital signal processor (DSP), the VC-2200/3200 allows simultaneous evaluation of two different frequencies from the acceleration sensor signal, and easy data management on a computer. The device also integrates visual and auditory testing functions, allowing vibration testing via sound or display on the screen. The “comparison gate input” function helps to accurately extract the necessary vibration phenomena.
With its compact size (96mm x 96mm) and digital filters and multiple measurement modes (for VC-3200), the ONO SOKKI VC-2200/3200 vibration meter is the ideal choice for vibration measurement and testing applications in modern industrial environments.
The VC-2200/3200 is a Vibration comparator which is used for maintenance and constant monitoring of production facilities with high accuracy, high function, and low cost in a single unit.
The VC-2200/3200 Vibration Comparator utilizes high-speed calculation by employing a digital signal processor (DSP) in DIN size. Newly installed TEDS function enables high performance calculation, time reduction, and less human errors in setup.
From the output signal of an accelerometer, the VC-2200/3200 simultaneously judges two different frequencies with one unit. Besides, the data is easily managed with a PC. The VC-2200/3200 has multiple roles including detection, judgment, and data management.
The VC-2200/3200 features checking of “visual and auditory”. It has function of checking the vibration with sound by connecting headphones as well as checking the vibration with view by on-screen numerical displays and bar graphs.
The “comparator gate input function” is also equipped which can extract only the necessary vibration phenomenon by controlling the timing signals from a PLC. All of these functions are packed into a compact DIN size (96mm X 96mm).
Since the VC-3200 has digital filters, measurement modes more than the VC-2200, it works effectively in measurement that requires detailed judgment condition settings.

If vibration exceeds the judgment level lasted for the specified period or longer, the comparator output can be made. It prevents misjudgment caused from human error that an operator touch the sensor with a tool etc. print mistake.
This is used for automatic judgment such as quality judgment of product lines. The timing can be controlled to measure vibration phenomena at the right time.
Vibration sound can be checked when connecting commercially available headphones. Also used as a substitute for an auscultation rod. Phenomenon of the each specified band can be checked.
The VC-3200 has a memory function. Since it remembers the setting conditions before power off, you can immediately start measurement with the same setting conditions. The VC-3200 has also data memory function to memory measured data.
-Pass/fail judgment of bearing using vibration-
Rotate the bearing and detect the vibration value for judgment. By focusing on the frequency band, it is possible to know the content of detected defect (flaw, foreign material inclusion, imbalance etc.). Speed sensor is also used along with accelerometers. In that case, it is necessary to set the VC-2200/3200 in external input mode.

Detecting axial runout of a machine tool.
Axial runout of machine tools has a great influence on the accuracy of finished product. Basically the runout of axis is measured by displacement gauge, which, however, is difficult due to environmental conditions, working conditions, cost, etc. Because the VC-2200/3200 can detect abnormality of axis according to vibration level, it is not influenced by environmental conditions and can be used for usual monitoring. The greater the axial runout, the greater the vibration level. In other words, monitoring the amount of vibration continuously and checking it leads to finding abnormality of the machine tool.

Facility diagnosis used to take a lot of work and time. An operator must measure and keep watching vibration from the facility because the vibration change gives an indication to know the timing of parts replacement or even abnormality. The VC-2200/3200 can continuously monitor vibration to detect unusual movement, prevent it from serious breakage and save the labor. The frequency band can be specified that might indicate the abnormality.

For the machines which process quite a large quantities of parts, such as NC machine, unattended operation is employed. If the drill bit or other tool is broken during unattended operation, it causes defective products. Reprocessing or disposal of these defective products is nothing but waste of money. The VC-2200 detects vibration when the drill bit is broken and makes stop the operation if occurred, as a result, minimizes producing defectives. Worn drill bit also lowers processing accuracy. Monitoring vibration change and checking the operation help to improve the processing accuracy.
