Although there are many machines and structures that we use today to carry out modern society, we cannot maintain our lives smoothly and safely unless the functions or safety of these facilities are fully determined. Stress gauges have evolved and expanded their scope of application as one of the most basic means of confirming the safety of the machines and structures we use and also as sensors to actually detect and measure the stresses and strains in place. The history of these stress gauges is quite long and the bond type stress gauges that we use today were originally designed and diagrammed by Simmons & Ruge in the United States in 1938. Our SHOWA company started manufacturing the first stress gauge in Japan in 1962 as a grid type stress gauge. Stress tester is really an indispensable means to detect the strength and properties of metals, rubber, plastics, ceramics that we are using in daily life.
Showa's strain gauges
Showa's strain gauges, adhesives and measuring instruments have been sold in Sweden for over 40 years.
Today the businesses have expanded to include several markets within Europe, and we will continue to offer competitive and qualitative products for our customers.

Properties of the strain gauges
• The gauges are fitted with or without lead wires
• Almost no effect on test object
• Distant and multi-points measurements are possible
• Applicable on both static and dynamic strains
• Both surfaces being completely laminated, the gauge grids are entirely protected
• Easy to handle and apply
• Top quality
• Competitive price
• Quality assured
Strain gages are of the structure, in which a metallic foil film in the thickness of a few microns is glued on a thin electrically insulated sheet (such as polyimide, polyester and so on).
This foil film is cut down by photo-etching method in the shape of strain gages which can be made with the negative film masks of the strain gage patterns.
These photo-etched strain gage patterns are trimmed to have a standard resistance value satisfying requirements as the strain gages
Configuration
Based on the basic characteristics of strain gauges such as the material, grid shape, grid length, gauge factor, nominal resistance, material against which strain gauge is self-temperature compensated, and so on.
► We also have calibration certificate attached ( optional )
► Please re-calibrate after use for a certain period through our purchase store.
