Force and mechanical measuring equipment
The HI84533 device is a device that determines formalin content in wine and fruit juice quickly, conveniently, and easily. Based on the acid-base reaction, combined with powerful algorithm settings and a specialized pH electrode, the mini titration device can accurately determine the reaction end point. In addition, the HI84533 also has a built-in piston pump in dynamic pumping mode, which automatically adjusts the amount of injected reagent based on the change in sample potential during the titration process, helping to save reaction time without still ensures reliable results. The HI84533 is supplied with all the necessary materials to determine both low and high range formalin content. The supplied chemicals have been mixed in the correct ratio and packaged in a closed process including standard solutions, reagents and pump calibration solutions, and the machine is provided with all necessary equipment. , no need for additional equipment.

The content of amino acids and other nitrogen compounds in wine and fruit juice is nitrogen substances that can be absorbed by the body and is determined by the formalin method based on the acid-base titration reaction. Formol content (formol index) is an important parameter to evaluate the quality of wine and fruit juice.
In wine, the alpha amino acid content in grapes will change depending on ripeness and harvest efficiency (the rate of fruit yield harvested in the vineyard), the concentration increases as the fruit ripens and gradually decreases with efficiency. harvest rate. During the alcoholic fermentation process, although there is only a very small amount of amino acids and nitrogen compounds (about 150-200mg/L) in wine yeast, however, if the content is too low, the process will slow down. fermentation due to insufficient nitrogen for wine yeast to grow. Therefore, nitrogen is very important and must be determined before fermentation.
In fruit juice, the formalin index is a basic indicator to determine product quality. Depending on the type of fruit, the formalin index will increase or decrease as the fruit ripens. In orange juice and grapefruit juice, the formalin index will be lower when the fruit is unripe or frozen. In pineapple juice, the low formalin index may be due to over-dilution or an unreasonable ratio of water/pineapple. To determine the quality of fruit juice, in addition to the chromatographic method of determining the amount of amino acids, the method of determining the formalin index is also often used.
Glass pH electrode
The HI84533 is supplied with the HI1131B combined electrode, which has a spherical glass membrane with a large surface area, making it an excellent device for direct measurement or use in acid-base titrations in the water industry.
Piston pump.
The most important device of the HI84533 is the piston pump. Using a motor to control the operation of the plunger makes it easier to control the pumping process, and the pumped reagent content is also more accurate. The pump mode installed on the machine is dynamic, so the amount of injected reagent will change depending on the change in voltage in the sample after each injection, so when performing a titration, the machine will inject many drugs. Test to shorten the time. When approaching the end of the reaction, the amount of reagent will gradually decrease to ensure the accuracy of the measurement process.
Magnetic stirring feature.
A magnetic stirring device is integrated into the machine, automatically maintaining a speed of 600 rpm, making it easy for the device to titrate highly viscous samples.
On-screen features
Easy-to-use interface: HI84533 has a friendly design, sharp keyboard, and large screen for easy use. In addition, the device is installed with tutorial software that, when activated, will guide the user on how to use the device step by step. During use, if there are any questions, users can press the HELP key to receive information support.
Warning sign: users will be alerted in case errors occur when using the machine (eg: reagent volume exceeds the allowable limit..)
Graph mode: the mini titrator displays data throughout the titration, including real-time graphs.
Save results as required: HI84533 allows saving up to 400 samples: 200 titration results and 200 pH/mV measurement results. These data can be stored on USB or transferred to a PC via the USB connection port.
As a pH/mV measuring device: in addition to being a titrator, the HI84533 can also be used as a benchtop pH meter, with automatic temperature compensation, automatic buffer solution recognition, and maximum calibration. 3 points, ±0.01pH accuracy, GLP data storage.
CAL Check feature. The machine will automatically analyze the electrode response signal during the calibration process and notify the user of problems that may affect the measurement results such as contaminated buffer solution, dirty electrode or cracking… the CAL Check feature not only ensures the accuracy of pH measurements but also helps ensure accuracy in determining the end point of the titration process.
