AMMONIA IN SALT WATER
Ammonia concentrations in rivers, estuaries, and bays can indicate the presence of agricultural runoff, urban pollution. When ammonia concentrations are high enough, it can be toxic to aquatic life, affecting the survival, growth, and reproduction rates of various marine species. In industrial applications, high concentrations of ammonia can cause corrosion in pipelines.
MEASUREMENT BY COLOR COMPARISON TUBE
– When the reagent reacts with a water sample containing ammonium, the water sample will change color and the higher the concentration, the darker the color.
– Compare the color with the standard color column on the tube and predict the concentration of the sample from 0 to 2.5mg/L NH3-N in increments of 0.5 mg/L
REAGENTS ARE PRE-MEASURED AND CLEARLY LABELED
– Reagents are coded and named for easy use with step-by-step instructions.
- Cost savings.
– Reagents can be purchased again when they run out without having to repurchase the entire item.
