HI93721-01 is a high quality reagent used to perform quick and accurate colorimetric measurements. The reagent is based on the phenanthroline method. This method requires reagents containing both a reducing agent and a complexing agent. The reagent converts most forms of iron to iron II (Fe2+) or soluble state. The reagent when added to a sample containing iron will create an orange color in the sample. The higher the concentration, the darker the color. Iron measurement results are displayed in mg/L (ppm). This reagent is for use with samples containing iron from 0.00 to 5.00 mg/L.
