– The reagent is used for samples with iron content in the range of 0 to 7 mg/L (ppm) Fe.
– The reagents are prepackaged and pre-measured, son Pre-measurement preparation time is significantly reduced and time-consuming reagent preparation or glassware cleaning procedures are eliminated, while also saving chemicals and processing time.
– COD reagent tubes and caps are designed to prevent reagent spillage during use.
REQUIRED FOR USE WITH HI839800 SAMPLE DIGESTOR
– Iron is a naturally occurring element found in soil, streams, surface water, and groundwater. High levels of iron in drinking water can cause unpleasant tastes and odors and can stain plumbing and laundry systems. Iron in drinking water and wastewater is regulated by the EPA and regulatory agencies.
– For samples containing complex iron or chelated iron or suspended iron, such as typical wastewater, digestion is a necessary step to allow all iron to react with the reagents.
– The Total Iron method measures all forms of iron, including ferrous, ferrous, dissolved, suspended and complex iron.
